This particular Grumman US-2B Tracker sits aboard the USS Hornet (CV-12) aircraft carrier, which was restored and is now a national museum harbored at the Alameda Naval Air Station. The Hornet has a long and interesting history for the part it played in World War II, Vietnam, the Apollo space missions, and as the subject and set for several films.
